## Admin: Credit Economy

Credits are the community's internal currency. Members earn them for taking part and spend them on games, boosts, tips, and cosmetics.

### Turning credits on

The credit economy is off by default. Enable it at **Admin → Config → Features → Credit System** before any of the surfaces below appear.

### Economy dashboard

**Admin → Economy** shows total credits in circulation, credits earned versus spent over time, and top earners and spenders.

### Default earn and spend rates

New tenants start with these defaults. You can change any of them from **Admin → Config** (Commerce / credits) or the economy settings.

| Starting balance for a new member | 500 |
| Award for starting a thread | 250 |
| Award for posting a reply | 100 |
| Award for an accepted friend request | 250 |
| Award per 5 KB uploaded | 500 |
| Cost to play a game | 25 |
| Tax on gifts and tips | 10% |

Higher roles can earn at a multiplier (Moderator 1.25x, Administrator 1.5x, Super Admin 2x).

### Granting credits

Admins can grant credits to any member from **Admin → Users → [Member] → Credits**.

### Feature costs

Set the credit cost for games, boosts, and tips from the economy settings.
