Add Subscriber notifications section (lifecycle emails) Paid Forums
Forum creators can charge for membership access.
How It Works
When creating or editing a forum, expand the "Paid access" section and set a price and billing interval (monthly, yearly, or one-time). Payments go through the community's own Stripe account.
Subscribing
Non-members see the forum's landing page with the price and a "Subscribe" button. Clicking it redirects to Stripe Checkout. After payment, access is granted immediately.
For Forum Creators
- Set your price in forum settings
- Non-admin creators require tenant admin approval before the paid forum goes live
- Revenue goes directly to the community's Stripe account (zero platform fees)
- Subscribers are tracked in the forum subscription system
Subscriber notifications
When a member's subscription needs attention, Mobieus emails them and posts an in-app notification automatically. Nothing to set up:
- Before a free trial ends — a reminder, so the first charge is never a surprise.
- When a renewal payment fails — a notice with a link to update their card before access ends. The card retries automatically in the meantime.
- When a failed payment recovers — a confirmation that they are all set.
- When a subscription is canceled — a confirmation, including when access ends.
