Public Moderation Log
The Public Moderation Log provides transparency into the actions taken by the moderation team. Any member can view it.
Accessing the Log
Navigate to Community > Moderation Log in the site menu. The log is also linked from the footer on every page.
What the Log Shows
Each entry in the log includes:
- Date and time of the action.
- Action type (e.g., Thread Locked, Post Removed, User Warned, User Banned).
- Target — the thread, post, or member affected (linked when applicable).
- Moderator who performed the action (displayed by username).
- Reason — the moderator's stated reason for the action.
Actions Logged

| Thread Locked | A thread was closed to new replies |
| Thread Unlocked | A locked thread was reopened |
| Thread Moved | A thread was moved to a different forum |
| Thread Deleted | A thread was removed (soft delete) |
| Post Removed | An individual reply was removed |
| Post Edited (by mod) | A moderator edited a member's post |
| User Warned | A formal warning was issued |
| User Muted | A member was temporarily muted |
| User Banned | A member was temporarily or permanently banned |
| User Unbanned | A ban was lifted |
| Tag Merged | Two tags were consolidated |
Filtering the Log
Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow results:
- Action type — select one or more action types.
- Moderator — filter by a specific moderator.
- Date range — view actions within a specific period.
- Search — free-text search across reasons and targets.
What the Log Does Not Show
To protect privacy, the following details are not included in the public log:
- Private modmail conversations.
- Internal moderator notes.
- IP addresses or other personally identifying information.
- The specific content of removed posts (only a note that the post was removed).
Purpose
The moderation log exists to maintain community trust. Members can verify that rules are enforced consistently and fairly. If you have questions about a logged action, use the modmail system to ask the moderation team.
