Public Moderation Log
The Public Moderation Log gives everyone a transparent view of the actions the moderation team takes. Any member can read it.
Accessing the Log
Open the log at /mod/public-log.
What the Log Shows
Each entry includes:
- Date and time of the action.
- Action type (see the list below).
- Target — the thread, post, or member affected (linked when applicable).
- Moderator who performed the action (shown by username).
Actions Logged
The public log shows the moderation actions that affect the community in a visible way:

| Thread Locked | A thread was closed to new replies |
| Thread Unlocked | A locked thread was reopened |
| Thread Moved | A thread was moved to a different forum |
| Post Pinned | A post was pinned to the top of its thread |
| Post Unpinned | A pinned post was unpinned |
| Post Deleted | A reply was removed |
| Post Restored | A removed reply was restored |
| Staff Pick | A thread was recommended as a staff pick |
| User Banned | A member was banned from the community |
| User Unbanned | A ban was lifted |
| User Shadow-Banned | A member's content was hidden from others |
| User Suspended | A member was temporarily suspended |
| Category Ban | A member was barred from a category |
| Category Unban | A category ban was lifted |
Filtering the Log
You can narrow the log to a single forum or category:
- Forum — show only actions taken in one forum.
- Category — show only actions in one category.
What the Log Does Not Show
To protect privacy, the log leaves out:
- Private modmail conversations.
- Internal moderator notes.
- IP addresses and other personal information.
- The content of removed posts (only that a post was removed).
Purpose
The log exists to keep the community's trust. You can see that the rules are applied consistently. If you have a question about a logged action, use modmail to ask the moderation team.
