# Reactions, Awards & Thanks

There are several ways to show appreciation for what other members post.

## Emoji Reactions

Reactions are lightweight, one-click responses you can add to any post or reply.

- Hover over (or tap on mobile) the reaction bar beneath a post.
- Pick an emoji. The built-in reactions are thumbs-up, heart, laugh, wow, sad, angry, fire, mind-blown, clap, party, rocket, and on-target.
- Your reaction appears beneath the post alongside reactions from other members.
- Tap the same reaction again to remove yours.

Each member can add one of each reaction type per post. The summary shows the emoji and a count. Some communities add their own custom emoji reactions on top of the built-in set.

## Post Awards

Awards are paid badges. You spend credits to give one, and it appears as a highlighted badge on the post.

To give an award, open the award picker beneath a post, choose an award, and confirm. The cost is deducted from your credit balance. You need enough credits to give the award you pick.

## Thanks Button

The **Thanks** button is a quick way to acknowledge a helpful post without writing a reply.

- Tap **Thanks** beneath any post.
- The Thanks count shows on the post.
- Thanks is one per member per post. Tap it again to take it back.

## Tipping

If your community has credits enabled, you can also tip another member directly. Tips send credits, not money. See [Tipping](/know/tipping) for how it works.
