# Trending & Leaderboards

## Trending Content

The **Trending** section highlights threads that are gaining traction based on a combination of:

- Reply volume in the last 24 hours.
+
- Reaction count.
+
- Unique viewers.
+
- Bookmark saves.
+
+
Trending content appears in two places:
+
+
1. The **Trending** tab on the feed page.
+
2. The **Trending** sidebar widget on the forum index (desktop layout).

Trending recalculates every 15 minutes, so the list stays fresh throughout the day.

The **Trending** view highlights recent threads that are gaining traction. It ranks threads by activity (replies and views) balanced against how recent they are, looking back over the last couple of weeks, so fresh, lively threads rise to the top.

## Leaderboards

Trending appears as the **Trending** tab on the feed page and as a trending widget in the sidebar on desktop. It refreshes frequently through the day.

- Total guests (non-logged-in visitors).

- A scrollable list of online member avatars.

- A "most users ever online" record with the date it was set.

The **Who's Online** page shows members active recently. A member counts as online if they have been active in the last 15 minutes.
