Current state: Unlike posts which have reactions, DMs only support text replies.
Proposed improvement: Add emoji reactions to individual messages in conversations. Reduces noise from "thumbs up" reply messages.

Resolved. Emoji reactions are now available on DMs in both the full conversation view and the mini messenger widget. Hover a message to see a react button. Click opens a quick picker with 6 common emojis. Reactions display as pills below the message with emoji and count. Click a pill to toggle your reaction. All updates happen without page reload.

Glad you're here. Reading, posting, and browsing all work on mobile. A few power-user tools — the image editor and the bulk file uploader — are easier on a larger screen, so feel free to jump over to a desktop for those.
