Current state: Users upload a cover photo but cannot crop or reposition it.
Proposed improvement: Add a drag-to-reposition and crop interface for cover photos, similar to Facebook and LinkedIn profile covers.

Deployed. Profile cover images now have a crop interface.
When uploading a cover, a 3:1 crop preview appears where you can drag to reposition what is visible. The cropped result is submitted as a 1500x500 JPEG. Uses the same Cropper.js library already used for thread cover images.

Glad you're here. Reading, posting, and browsing all work on mobile. A few power-user tools — the image editor and the bulk file uploader — are easier on a larger screen, so feel free to jump over to a desktop for those.
