Patrick Bass Hello, I’m Patrick Bass, creator and founder of mobieus.io.
Mobieus started with a simple problem: I wanted to build my own online community, but none of the existing platforms gave me the flexibility, control, or experience I was looking for. So I decided to build one myself.
The original project began as a retro computing community called 6502ish.
As the idea grew, I forked the 6502ish code and began building what would eventually become mobieus.io. At that point, my development focus shifted almost entirely to Mobieus.
There is still a little bit of 6502ish DNA inside Mobieus, but the two have evolved into very different products. 6502ish remains a retro computing community. Mobieus has become a broader platform for building modern, flexible, feature-rich online communities.
That origin story matters to me because Mobieus was not created in a vacuum. It came from building a real community, solving real problems, and learning what community owners actually need.
Please take a look around, ask questions, and experiment. We still have a small development team, but that is one of our strengths. We are agile, responsive, and able to act quickly on customer feedback and feature requests.
