mobieusCredits are the in-community currency members use to buy cosmetics, thread bumps, sponsored slots, gifts, and other perks. Members earn credits by participating, or top up directly via Stripe.

How members earn credits

Credits accrue automatically for community activity:

• Posting a thread or reply.
• Receiving an upvote on a post.
• Filing a moderation report that mods mark as helpful.
• The first post each day.
• Being selected for a Staff Pick.
• Replying to a new-member welcome thread.
• Cross-posting.

Daily caps prevent farming. The exact per-action amounts and caps are configured per-tenant at /admin/economy.

How members spend credits

The most-used surfaces:

• Cosmetics at /account/cosmetics — username colors, avatar frames, chat bubble shaders, profile-effect particles, name badges, profile banners, post borders.
• Thread bumps — push a thread back to the top of its forum.
• Sponsored slots — pin a thread in a forum for a number of hours.
• Highlight a post — visual highlight ring on a specific post.
• Tips — send credits to another member with an optional message.
• Gift downloads — give another member access to a paid file.
• Username changes — change your @handle.

Top up your balance

Visit /account/cosmetics. The gradient hero at the top shows your current balance and three top-up packs:

All one-time purchases. No subscription. Click a pack, Stripe Checkout takes your card, credits land in your wallet within seconds of payment confirmation.

The success page

After paying you land on /account/credits/success. Credits arrive a few seconds after the webhook confirms. Refresh once and your balance updates. Stripe emails the receipt automatically.

Refunds

Refunds happen through standard Stripe support. If a refund is processed, the purchase is marked refunded in our ledger. Credits are not automatically debited from your balance — by the time a refund comes through you may have already spent them. Reconciliation is reviewed manually.

For tenant admins

View the credit economy

/admin/economy shows balances, transaction history, role multipliers, daily caps, and 30/90-day trend charts.

Adjust a member's balance

/admin/economy includes an admin-adjust action for situations where you need to credit or debit a specific member. Every adjustment is logged with the admin's user ID and reason.

Configure earn rates and caps

Per-action amounts (post, upvote, helpful-report, etc.) and per-day caps live in /admin/economy settings. Change them any time; future earn events use the new values immediately.

FAQ

Do credit purchases work on every tier? Yes — every tier, including the entry plan.

Are credits transferable between tenants? No. Credits are per-tenant.

Do credits expire? No.

Can I gift credits to another member? Yes — the Tip action in a member's profile sends credits with an optional message.

Where do I see my transaction history? /account/credits shows your full earn-and-spend ledger.
