cmi5 Packages

cmi5 is a modern xAPI-based e-learning standard. mobieusLearn supports importing and delivering cmi5 packages alongside SCORM.

Importing a cmi5 package

1. Go to Admin → Learn → cmi5 packages.
2. Click Upload package and select your .zip file.
3. The package is unpacked and its Assignable Units (AUs) are registered.

Attaching to a course

1. Open the course in Admin → Learn → Courses.
2. Add a content block and select cmi5 from the type dropdown.
3. Pick the package and select which AU to use.

Learner experience

Learners launch cmi5 content from their enrolled course view. Progress is tracked via xAPI statements sent to the built-in LRS.

Supported features

• Move On policies — read from each package's Assignable Units: Passed, Completed, CompletedOrPassed (the default when a package does not specify one), CompletedAndPassed, and NotApplicable.
• Session tracking and duration
• Score passback to the gradebook
