Configure email notification preferences in Account Settings. You can opt in or out per notification type. Email notifications are sent for urgent items (moderation actions, escalations) by default.

Open `/notifications/preferences` to choose how you're notified for each kind of activity. Each kind has three channels you toggle independently:

### Push Notifications
−
- **In-app:** the bell badge in the navigation.
−
- **Email:** a message to your inbox.
−
- **Push:** a system alert even when the site is closed. Turn on push for your device first.

If your browser supports push notifications and you have granted permission, you will receive desktop alerts for new notifications.

Course grades, event reminders, and support ticket replies always show in-app and email (they're things you asked to hear about), with push as an opt-in — turn it on in your preferences to get them on your device too.

You can also switch on a **Weekly Digest**, a Monday-morning email roundup of top posts, new files, upcoming events, and new members.

Billing and subscription notices (a trial about to convert, a failed or recovered payment, a cancellation) are always on. They affect your access, so they can't be turned off.
