Recruit & Referrals

The referral system rewards you for bringing new members to the community. Share your personal referral link and earn credits when someone signs up through it.

Referrals are a feature your community can turn on or off. If you do not see a Recruit page, the feature is not enabled here.

Your Referral Link

Find your referral dashboard at /recruit. Your link looks like:

https://community.example.com/join/YOUR_CODE

Share it anywhere — social media, email, messaging apps, your blog, or your own site.

How It Works

1. Someone opens your referral link.
2. A referral cookie is set in their browser (valid for 30 days).
3. If they create an account within that window, the signup is attributed to you.
4. You earn credits the first time that referral converts.

Your Reward

When a new member signs up through your link, you earn credits. The exact amount is set by your community (500 credits by default). The reward fires once per referred member, at the moment the signup is confirmed.

Rewards appear in your notifications and in your credit balance.

Tracking Your Referrals

The /recruit dashboard shows:

• Total referrals and referrals this month.
• The members you referred, with their signup date and status.
• The credits you have earned from referrals.

Guidelines

• Spamming your referral link in unrelated communities is not allowed and can cost you referral privileges.
• Self-referrals (creating extra accounts) are detected and do not count.
• Referral rewards are subject to the community's anti-abuse policies.
