## Your Referral Link

Referrals are a feature your community can turn on or off. If you do not see a Recruit page, the feature is not enabled here.

## How It Works

1. Someone clicks your referral link.

2. A referral cookie is set in their browser (valid for 30 days).
3. If they create an account within that window, the signup is attributed to you.

4. Both you and the new member receive rewards (see below).

When a new member signs up through your link, you earn credits. The exact amount is set by your community (500 credits by default). The reward fires once per referred member, at the moment the signup is confirmed.

## Guidelines

- Spamming your referral link in unrelated communities or forums is prohibited and may result in referral privileges being revoked.
