Moderation
The community is moderated by volunteer moderators and tenant admins. AI moderation assist can draft a recommendation on every report, but every action still needs human approval.
For the admin-facing moderation dashboard and AI assist, see Content Moderation. For the AI Community Manager, see AI Community Manager.
Reporting content
Click Report on any post, thread, listing, file, or photo to flag it for moderator review. Pick a reason and add optional details. Reports go to the moderation team.
You can also report a member from their profile.
Moderator actions
Moderators can:
- Warn. Issue a formal warning.
- Lock. Prevent further replies to a thread.
- Pin. Pin a thread to the top of a forum.
- Delete. Remove posts or threads.
- Ban. Ban a member from a specific forum or the whole community.
- Suspend. Temporarily restrict a member.
- Shadow ban. The member can still post, but their content is hidden from others.
Every action is written to the audit log.
AI moderation assist
If the tenant admin has enabled AI moderation assist, the AI drafts a recommended action on each report and shows its reasoning in the queue. The AI never acts on its own — moderators approve, edit, or reject every draft. See Content Moderation and AI Community Manager.
Appeals
Members can appeal warnings, suspensions, and bans. Appeals show up in the moderation queue with their own flag. See Appeals.
Modmail
Members can message a forum's moderation team privately. You open modmail from a forum, and your conversations live in your Messages area at /messages/modmail. See Modmail.
Public moderation log
A sanitized, read-only log of moderation actions is at /mod/public-log. Members can see what kinds of moderation are happening without seeing private details. See Public Moderation Log.
Username autocomplete
Every mod tool that asks for a username (assign mod, ban member, modmail) uses the shared username autocomplete. Type two characters and the dropdown suggests matching usernames.
