Moderation
The community is moderated by volunteer moderators and tenant admins. AI moderation assist drafts recommendations on every report, but every action still needs human approval.
For the admin-facing moderation dashboard and AI assist, see Content Moderation. For the AI Community Manager, see AI Community Manager.
Reporting Content
Click Report on any post, thread, listing, file, or photo to flag it for moderator review. Select a reason and provide optional details. Reports are reviewed by the moderation team.
You can also report a user from their profile.
Moderator Actions
Moderators can:
- Warn. Issue a formal warning
- Lock. Prevent further replies to a thread
- Pin. Pin a thread to the top of a forum
- Delete. Remove posts or threads
- Ban. Ban a user from a specific forum or the entire community
- Suspend. Temporarily restrict the user
- Shadow ban. User can still post but content is invisible to others
Every action writes to the audit log.
AI moderation assist
If the tenant admin has enabled AI moderation assist, the AI Community Manager drafts a recommended action on every report. Moderators see the recommendation and the reasoning in the queue.
The AI never acts on its own. Moderators approve, edit, or reject every AI draft. See Content Moderation and AI Community Manager.
Appeals
Members can appeal warnings, suspensions, and bans. Appeals appear in the moderation queue with a separate flag. See Appeals.
Modmail
Members can message the moderator team privately at /modmail. Modmail is a shared inbox visible to every moderator. See Modmail.
Public Moderation Log
A sanitized, read-only log of moderation actions at /mod/public-log. Members can see what kind of moderation is happening without seeing private details. See Public Moderation Log.
Username autocomplete
Every mod tool that asks for a username (assign mod, ban user, modmail recipient) uses the shared username autocomplete. Start typing 2 characters and the dropdown suggests matching usernames. Powered by /api/users/search and rate-limited.
