Scheduled Posts

Scheduling lets you compose a thread now and have it publish automatically at a future time. Scheduling is a moderator and admin tool — useful for announcements, event reminders, and content series.

How to Schedule a Post

  1. Compose your thread as usual (title, content, forum, tags).
  2. Set a future publish date and time instead of posting right away.
  3. Submit. The thread is saved and stays hidden until its publish time arrives.

Times use your local timezone. Set your timezone in Account → Timezone so posts go live when you expect.

Managing Scheduled Posts

View your scheduled posts at /account/scheduled. For each one you can:

  • Publish now — clear the schedule and publish the thread immediately.

A scheduled post stays private until it publishes. Once it publishes, it appears in the forum at the scheduled time so it lands in the right chronological position, and subscribers to that forum or tag are notified.

There can be a short delay — up to about a minute — between the scheduled time and the post actually appearing.

Drafts vs. Scheduled Posts

Feature Draft Scheduled Post
Saved privately Yes Yes
Publishes automatically No Yes (at the scheduled time)
Visible to others before publish No No
Found at /account/drafts /account/scheduled

Tips

  • Prepare recurring threads (weekly discussions, monthly roundups) in advance.
  • Schedule posts to go live at peak activity times even when you are not online.
