Chat Rooms Administration

mobieusChat rooms are real-time spaces for live member conversations.

Creating a chat room

1. Go to Admin → Chat Rooms.
2. Click New Room.
3. Set a name, description, and visibility.
4. Save.

Visibility has three levels:

• Public: anyone can find and join.
• Listed private: shown in the room list, but membership is controlled.
• Hidden: not listed; reachable only by direct link or invite.

Managing rooms

• Edit: update name, description, visibility, or settings.
• Archive: hide the room without losing its history.

Enabling chat

mobieusChat is available on every plan. There is no plan gate. If chat does not appear in navigation, check that the Live Chat feature is on at Admin → Config → Features → Live Chat.

Moderation

Moderators can delete messages and mute or unmute members in a room. Admins can lock rooms.
