mobieusHealth: eating out
The eating-out helper gives a member a few on-plan orders for wherever they're eating. They tell it the restaurant or cuisine — and can paste the menu — and mobieusHealth returns a short list of concrete orders that fit the day they've had. Members find it on the food screen (the Eating Out action in the FatGuyFiles iOS app and the same helper on the web). For the tracker as a whole, see mobieusHealth.
This is a wellness tracker, not medical advice.
How it works
- The member enters where they're eating (a restaurant name or just a cuisine) and, optionally, pastes the menu.
- mobieusHealth returns a few orderable picks, each with the order to place, a line on why it works, a practical tip, and a rough calorie estimate.
The picks are grounded in the member's remaining calorie and protein budget for the day and in their never-eat list (allergies and avoided foods). Anything on the never-eat list is kept out both when the picks are drawn up and again before they're shown, so an avoided food won't slip through.
The helper gives ideas to order; it doesn't log anything by itself. After the meal, the member logs it back on the food screen — by search or by describe-and-voice logging.
Turning it on
The eating-out helper uses mobieusAI, so the community needs mobieusAI enabled (see mobieusAI: the built-in AI helpers). Members set their never-eat list and diet style in their Health settings so the picks fit them.
